Peter Tait

 

Peter Tait is a versatile actor with a rich career spanning decades. He is perhaps best known for his long standing connection to the Lord of the Rings universe, having appeared a number of roles across Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings movie trilogy. More recently, he played series regular Tredwill in Amazon's The Rings of Power television series.

Peter is a whizz with accents and characters, lending his talents to Underworld: Rise of the Lycans, and has had many notable roles in New Zealand productions including Westside, The Brokenwood Mysteries, Underbelly. He has appeared in a number of critically acclaimed short films including cult horror short Kitchen Sink, and The Singing Trophy - both of which screened at Cannes, as well as making successful ventures into comedy with projects like the short film Bogans, which he wrote and co-produced.

Peter's physical presence and compelling performances continue to earn him recognition as a distinct creative force in both the local and international arena.
