Gideon T. Smith

Actor

Of Samoan and Chinese descent, Gideon T. Smith has a strong foundation in dance -specialising in hip hop and Pacific contemporary. He went on to study acting at Toi Whakaari: New Zealand Drama School, graduating in 2022.

While training at Toi Whakaari, Gideon continued performing as a dancer, collaborating on multiple works with the acclaimed Pacific performing arts company, Le Moana.

Since graduating, he has landed key roles in both film and television, including a supporting role in feature horror Grafted, a core cast role in comedy television series Camp Be Better, and most recently the poignant theatrical hit Black Faggot.

Beyond acting, Gideon has experience in various martial arts, including Capoeira, Muay Thai, and Jiu-Jitsu.
