Florence Hartigan
Florence Hartigan is an actor, writer, producer, and musician. She is currently starring in mystery thriller The Ridge, now on screen in both Aotearoa (Sky/Neon) and the United Kingdom (BBC).
A dual citizen, she has worked both in NZ and in the US, where a career highlight was starring in the 2017 feature Phoenix Forgotten, produced by Ridley Scott.
Other notable local screen appearances include roles in Madam, The Panthers and Kid Sister. Her US credits include Comedy Central’s Bro Dependent, IFC’s Entrance, and animated feature To Your Last Death, alongside William Shatner. Whilst in LA, Florence trained, wrote and performed at comedy theatres The Upright Citizen’s Brigade and The Groundlings.
Florence’s recent writing credits include Shortland Street, and children's animated show Riddle Me This. In 2023, Florence was a top 11 finalist in the New Zealand Writers’ Guild/New Zealand On Air Kōpere Ake program, and a top 6 finalist in 2024.
As a producer, Florence has helmed two short films which have screened at a number of festivals, including NZ International Film Festival, Austin Film Festival and Newport Beach Film festival.
Florence is also a musician and was runner-up on TV2’s reality show Songstar. Her single Green was produced by Don McGlashan.
