Seiyan Thompson-Tonga

Actor

Born and raised in Invercargill Seiyan Thompson-Tonga graduated from Toi Whakaari: New Zealand Drama School Class 2022.

Seiyan is exploring his craft on stage and screen, and has enjoyed working on screen projects including Freedom Fighters, directed by Tusi Tamasese, the collaboratively devised project 14 Malone Rd, directed and choreographed by Tupua Tingafua, and more recently Small Town Scandal, created by Tom Sainsbury.

Seiyan directed and produced his own work D’ Things N Such which was performed in both the 2025 and 2026 New Zealand Fringe Festivals, and is looking forward to bringing the work to audiences around New Zealand.
