Johnny Light has a background in classical theatre, with professional performance experience in both New Zealand and Australia. His stage work includes Pop-up Globe and The Australian Shakespeare Company productions, where he has taken on roles in several of Shakespeare’s best-known plays, including Banquo in Macbeth, Don Pedro in Much Ado About Nothing and Sir Andrew Aguecheek in Twelfth Night.
Alongside theatre, Johnny has begun building his screen credits, having appeared in Netflix’s Sweet Tooth, Shortland Street, as well as the comedy series Camp Be Better. His short film work includes Erased, for which he received a Best Actor nomination at the 2022 Miami International Science Fiction Film Festival.
With a strong grounding in classical performance, and a solid instinct for comedy, Johnny is continuing to build his career across stage and screen.
